Who are you?
Well, my name is Brianna! I started this blog. Check my personal blog for my information. I also run a Disney blog and an advice blog!
The other admin is Rhys, pronounced Rees, this is his personal blog.
What inspired you to make this blog?
Well, I (Brianna), LOVE these reblogs. I never saw enough of them on my dash and I could never find a blog who did them, so I decided to make one myself!
What’s a folder?
People make folders on their desktops/on their computer. They then save GIFs into the folder.
Where do you find your GIFs/Do you make your GIFs?
I track “gifs” in the tracked tags in the sidebar on tumblr. I also just save GIFs I see around on my dash. Yes I make my own gifs when I have time/see something I want to gif.
I can’t add a GIF to the reblog/My GIF isn’t moving, what do I do?
Most likely, you’re adding the GIF the wrong way. There will be a button above your little bar on top that you use, not the tree picture icon.

& if your GIF isn’t working, make sure the GIF is under 1MB, and if it still doesn’t work then you either saved it wrong or the GIF just doesn’t work.
*This also works if you try to upload a GIF to any other type a post. If there is no “+ Upload photo” button, what I do is:
1. Open Tumblr in a new tab/window
2. Click text
3. Upload gif by clicking upload picture
5. Click the HTML button (it’s on the toolbar thing)
6. Copy what’s on it.
7. Go back to the original gif post or tumblr page you were on
8. Click on HTML on that one
9. Paste on the pop up at the very bottom.
How do I add a GIF to an answer to an ask?
I make another tab, go to tumblr, create a new text post, +Upload photo, copy the GIF, paste the GIF to the answer to the ask.
Where do you get the inspiration for your posts?
99% are submissions. If not, usually from everyday things I experience or just funny stuff that comes to my mind. Other times, my brother helps me think of stuff.
Where can I submit a submission? A gif of the day post?
In the ask box, not submit! The ask box is open to suggestions, a friendly hello, constructive feedback, or anything. We answer everything, whether it’s love or hate. & anon is on most of the time. The gif of the day is through the submit, not ask.
Do you really go by the number GIF in your folder when you post the “the # gif in your folder blahblahblah” things?
When I make a post, I go by what the post says. We count out each number, no cheating 99% of the time.
How come there is no search bar to search tags on your blog?
Because on the theme we have it fails to work. All you have to do is thegifinyourfolder.tumblr.com/tagged/_____ Whatever you want to seach, a number, a word, but if it is multiple words you have to add a + sign inbetween. Examples:
Is there a way to skip numbers/find higher numbers an easier way besides counting?
The best way to do it is by selecting the first gif in your folder, holding your shift key and while still holding, go down and select another gif. At the bottom of your file opened it should say something along the lines of “1 out of 95789 selected” and then you just keep going up or down until you have the right number you want. (shown below) Another easy way to do it is to open your gif folder, make sure it’s set to ‘thumbnails’ and expand the window so that it’s five thumbnails wide. Then count in fives down.

I don’t want to keep using the same GIFs over and over again. How do I mix it up/use different GIFs?
Above, you can see Brianna has a USED subfolder in her GIFS folder. When she uses a GIF, that GIF goes to the USED folder so she can use other GIFS. Another technique would be to start counting from different parts of your folder.
